The Prime Minister expects the government to be in full composition again this week, as the Saeima vote on the nominees is expected Thursday.
Kariņš said that, in the present difficult times, it is very important for the government to work in full order to be able to strengthen defense capacity, energy security and independence, and provide a targeted support system.
According to Kariņš, the coalition is prepared to continue “good cooperation like it has been to date.”
As reported, the two ministers' posts became vacant after the resignation of Interior Minister Marija Golubeva and Economics Minister Jānis Vitenbergs.
