Of the new cases, 294 cases were unvaccinated persons, or persons not fully vaccinated, and 194 were fully vaccinated. The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 252,413.
Of the 5,034 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 9.7% were positive. The 14-day cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population fell from 652 Saturday to 637 Sunday.

Sixteen more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All of the victims were aged over 40 years. Two of the fatalities were fully vaccinated individuals. The total death toll since the start of the pandemic now stands at 4,146.
Saturday data show 859 patients being treated in hospital with 176 patients displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
