No Covid-related deaths were reported Friday, so the death toll since the start of the pandemic stays at 2,549.
On July 23, 50 patients were being treated in Latvian hospitals for coronavirus symptoms. Of that number, 9 have serious symptoms.

The number of fully completed vaccinations in the country stood at 655,291 on July 22.
Meanwhile 84 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Estonia Friday while in Lithuania a worrying surge continued with 233 new cases recorded.
