Two Covid-related deaths were also confirmed, so the death toll since the start of the pandemic rises to 2,554.
The number of patients being treated for coronavirus symptoms in Latvia's hospitals rose from 39 on Tuesday to 46 on Wednesday. Of that number, 6 have serious symptoms.
Meanwhile in Estonia 173 new Covid cases were registered Wednesday and in Lithuania 337 new cases were recorded amid ever-clearer signs that another Covid-19 wave appears to be gathering force in the Baltic states.
