Of 6,590 tests carried out over the past day, 26.3% were positive, resulting in 1,731 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population rose from 1004.4 Monday to 1023.8 Tuesday, the highest rate since the beginning of April.

The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,905. The four latest victims were all aged 80 and over.
Monday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 227 patients being treated in hospitals, one of whom is displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
Latvia is also part of the European Union's wider Covid-19 certification scheme.
