There is enough supply of all types of Covid-19 vaccines in Latvia, said Eva Juhņēviča, head of the National Health Service's Vaccination Project division on Latvian Television December 1.

She said that there was occasional talk of a lack of vaccines in the public sphere, especially now in the context of a booster vaccine, but there was no cause for concern. There are almost a million units in stocks, and more than 100,000 have already been passed on to vaccination authorities. The deliveries of vaccines are also expected to continue.

There will be enough vaccines for all Latvian residents, including the booster, she insisted.

The new recommendations of the State Council for Immunization state that the booster can be provided for all members of the population over 18, the time between doses varying for each type of primary vaccine.
