Of 3,505 tests carried out over the past three days, 22.8% were positive, resulting in 798 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population fell from 300 Friday to 299 Monday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 968,527 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 6,111. The latest three victims were aged 60 years and over.
Friday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 400 patients being treated in hospitals, five of whom are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
