Of 5,585 tests carried out over the past three days, 23% were positive, resulting in 1,286 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population continued its steady climb from 340 Friday to 395 Monday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 841,132 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,871. The latest two casualties were both aged over 60 years.
Friday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 135 patients being treated in hospitals, 2 of whom are displaying serious symptoms.
