Of 2,949 tests carried out over the past day, 12.4% were positive, resulting in 682 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population rose from 302 Tuesday to 305 Wednesday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 966,813 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 6,107. The latest two victims were aged over 90 years.
Wednesday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 342 patients being treated in hospitals, three of whom are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
