The nights to Tuesday and Wednesday will still be cool, with the minimum temperatures at +5 C to +11 C, coastal up to +14 C, but the days will be increasingly warm. On Wednesday temperatures could reach +27 C.
In the second half of the week, more wet air will flow into the region, so nights will become warmer and temperatures will no longer slip below the ten-degree mark. Afternoons will be hot, with temperatures at +26 C to +31 C. Coastal areas and places affected by thunderstorms will be cooler.
The first storm clouds are likely to start forming Friday in Kurzeme, but over the weekend, they are also possible in other regions. The rain will be short-term, but it can be strong, so the dry soil will not be able to absorb it all at once. Drought in most parts of the country will continue to intensify.
