The air temperature will reach from 25 Celsius to 30 C on both Saturday and Sunday, being a little cooler on the coast than inland. At night, the air will cool down to from 15 C to 19 C.
A yellow warning (potential danger) is in place for high temperatures in Rīga over the weekend, so revellers attending the city festival would do well to take suitable precautions i.e. hats and water bottles.
Storm clouds will form in many places on both days. The biggest risk they will bring is very heavy rain that can cause flash flooding, but large hail and wind gusts that can cause damage are also possible locally. However, storms will generally be of fairly short duration.
Outside of storms, there will be light, variable winds.
It will get colder next week. In the first half of the week, the temperature will reach from 19 C to 26 C in the afternoons, but it will also be sunnier and drier than the weekend.
