Rain is expected to be particularly heavy on Tuesday and Wednesday, when temperatures will drop to +14..+19C in daytime and +10..+16C at night with temperatures below +10C in parts of Vidzeme and Latgale on Tuesday morning.
Short yet powerful spurts of rain are expected on both of these days with hail and thunder interspersed with sunny periods.
Wind with gusts of 14-19 m/s is also expected to hit the country.
While rain should subside on Thursday and Friday and temperatures are to rise above +20C in most of Latvia on Friday.
The weekend will be particularly warm and temperatures are to reach +20..+25C and +27C on Sunday.
