Take note – story published 3 years ago

Cold weather and frost will remain in Latvia throughout the week, though the sun will often shine, according to LSM's weatherman Toms Bricis.

There will be little new snow, but there may be mist and frost at nights and in the mornings. Easterly and north-easterly wind will blow all week, reaching 10-14 meters per second in gusts.

The air temperature at nights will be mostly within the range of -10 Celsius to -20 C, with some nights falling to -25 C in some districts.

During the daytime, the temperature will be mostly in the range of  -5 C to -10 C, falling as low as -14 C in the east of the country.

With the cold February set to continue, this winter is on course to be the coldest since 2013 in Latvia.
