Take note – story published 2 years ago

Weather conditions in Latvia will improve during the holidays – the wind will die down, the snowfall will diminish, but frost will intensify, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

There will be snowfall on Saturday throughout Latvia, but in some places the sky will be temporarily clear, allowing the sun to shine through. Air temperature on Saturday night will be between -1 C to -6 C, in the east down to -8 C, during the day from +1 C on the coast to -4 C in the east.

On Sunday the wind will fade completely. At night, as the sky will clear, the temperature will fall to -3 C to -8 C, down to -15 C in the east, and during the day from 0 C to -2 C in Kurzeme to -3 C to -8 C in the rest of the country.

At the beginning of next week, it will be warmer again, there will be a thaw throughout Latvia, and the southwest wind will also intensify. Over the course of the week, temperatures will fluctuate above and below zero, and there is a high probability that the wind will grow stronger again.
