Friday will be wet in all of Latvia, particularly so in the afternoon and evening, however Saturday and Sunday promise to be mostly dry despite continued cloud cover, weather forecasts predicted.

The central and eastern regions of the land will see rain, at times lasting and heavy.

However by the weekend precipitation levels will have fallen off overnight to Saturday, leaving the chance of continued light rain in parts of eastern Latgale province only.

Slow winds will prevail over the weekend, allowing for fog to appear overnight and in the early morning hours.

Nighttime lows will be between +3 and +8 degrees Celsius, dipping to +1 in eastern parts of the country, while highs during the day will reach between +4 and +9 degrees.

Monday is expected to be the coldest day next week, dipping overnight to lows between zero and +6 degrees and warming up by only 1-3 degrees during the day, however the rest of the week thereafter is expected to continue with mild temperatures.

Current extended forecasts call for continued cloudy weather all next week, with a slight chance of rain. Lows will be between +2 and +7 degrees, highs between +5 and +11 degrees.
