Air temperatures in the coming days will be in the range 0 to -5 Celsius, at nights dipping between -1 C and -6°C, slightly warmer in Kurzeme coastal regions.

In the second half of the week, it will get colder. On Thursday and Friday, the temperature will drop slowly, while over the weekend temperatures are expected to fall to below -20 C.

So far this winter, the lowest temperature was recorded on the morning of January 17, when it was -31 C in Jelgava municipality.
