Want to go out in nature this weekend? Stay at home with a treat and some music? Take a look at our tips for this Saturday and Sunday.

Raspberry cheesecake workshop

Youth center BaMbuss is offering a free workshop from the comfort of your own home on Friday, February 26, at 17:00.

 Elizabete Linda Sadauska, creator of YouTube channel “Gardumiņi”, will show you how to make raspberry cheesecake. The workshop will take place on Zoom. Registering link is here.

Ingredients you will need are listed on the Facebook event in English. The workshop is free and organized by volunteers.

Snowshoeing on Ķemeri Bog

SUP adventures are organizing snowshoeing hikes on the Ķemeri Tīrelis bog every weekenduntil the end of March. If you are into nature and adventure, this is the right pastime for you. 

The hike includes an introductory safety training, snowshoes, and a professional guide. It will last for approximately two hours and doesn't require prior experience.

Festival Saxophonia

The Saxophonia festival will present one concert this year, with Latvia's most notable performers  saxophone music – the Riga saxophone quartet under the leadership of Artis Sīmanis, the Latvian Radio bigband with solist Gints Pabērzs, “Trio Tresensus” under the leadership of Aigars Raumanis, the modern jazz group “Lupa”.

The concert will be composed of new Latvian musical works in both jazz and academic music genres. The concert will be streamed on ReTV on 27 February at 22:00.
