Take note – story published 3 years ago

The Ministry of Welfare said July 28 that, having reviewed the support funds co-financed by the European Social Fund to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 crisis and is now planning to implement temporary public works.

It is planned to introduce public works to provide support for a certain period of time as the crisis ends and the economic situation stabilizes.

These jobs will involve unemployed people who do not receive or refuse to receive unemployment benefits.

The amount of compensation for participation in temporary public works will be EUR 200 per month for basic needs, reducing poverty risks.

In addition, mandatory state social insurance contributions for pension insurance will be made for the unemployed.

Support for the involvement of unemployed people in the labor market is also planned: under the wage subsidy program, the employer will be able to receive a subsidy of 50% of the monthly salary set for the employee, up to four months, but not more than EUR 430 per month.
