Although the first days of May were sunny, dry, and warm, atmospheric pressure will drop at the start of the new week, bringing rain in many places already on Monday night.
On Monday and Tuesday, clouds will increase and rain is expected in most parts of the country, some of it persistent and some heavy, with thunderstorms also expected on Monday. The air will warm up to 7-12 degrees.

However, precipitation will moderate for a few days afterwards, with only light rain in some areas.
In the second half of the week, a cyclone will approach Latvia again, bringing rain at times. A colder air mass will gradually flow into the country with a northerly wind.
In the second half of the week, the air will warm up to 6-13 degrees Celsius in most of the country, but at night the air temperature will drop to freezing and below in some areas, which may form frosts on the surface of the grass, according to the LVGMC.
