The Baltic Olympiad in Informatics (BOI) is a programming contest for secondary school students from countries around or close to the Baltic sea and has been held since 1995. This year, 99 members from 11 countries - Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Finland, Germany, Israel and Ukraine - competed.
Latvia was represented by two delegations of high-schoolers, and Rīga State Gymnasium No. 1 student won one of the six gold medals.
Like last year, the olympiad took place online this year. In 2022, the Baltic Olympiad in Informatics will be organized by Germany and is scheduled to take place in the German city of Lübeck.
