It is also permitted to swim in all bathing areas of the Gulf of Riga in Vakarbuļļi, Daugavgrīva and Vecāķi, in the official swimming areas Rumbula and Ķīpsala, as well as Lucavsala and Lake Bābelīte.
As reported, last week, after heavy rainfall, sewage contamination of bodies of water near Rīga made them unfit for swimming.
