Of 5,596 tests carried out over the past day, 33.6% were positive, resulting in 1,881 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population fell from 1023.8 Tuesday to 1011.5 Wednesday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 877,702 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,908. The three latest victims were all aged 70 and over.
Tuesday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 236 patients being treated in hospitals, two of whom are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
