Youth radio station charity marathon underway

The annual charity drive from the Pieci.lv radio station is underway.

As usual, the center of attention is a perspex box into which the radio station's DJs barricade themselves for several days while accepting donations from members of the public in return for playing songs on the airwaves.

This year the box is located in Dome Square in the heart of Rīga's old town, right outside the main Latvian Radio building.

The charity drive started December 17 and continues until December 23. This year donations will pay for free practical and psychological training for young parents throughout Latvia to provide them with knowledge and skills in building emotionally healthy relationships with their children.

Further information is available and donations can be made at the official website.
