Record-warm days coming at end of week in Latvia

Take note – story published 2 years ago

This week, weather in Latvia will become warmer and temperatures will be close to heat records in the second half of the week, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the air temperature will reach +7 C to +12 C in the afternoons. It will be cloudy and some rain is expected in the first half of the week, but the weekend will pass without rainfall, and the sun will often shine.

Air temperatures will be between +7 C and +12 C at nights in the second half of the week, but in the afternoons it will reach +10 C to +15 C, warmer in Kurzeme and Zemgale.

Historically, the highest temperature in the final days of October was +16 C to +18 C, so a national heat record is unlikely, but local heat records may be hit in some places of Latvia.
