Around 100,000 straws have been incorporated in a giant 'puzurs' made by Ārija Bērze, which will decorate the great stage of the cultural center Siguldas Devons in August.

The 'puzurs', a traditional geometric ornament traditionally made at the end of summer from cereal grains, is approximately 4.5 meters high and 4.5 meters wide and is the most ambitious artist's work so far, according to representatives of the cultural center.

“I made the first attempts to form puzurs in the 90s. Then, for many years, studies of grasses were interchanging with studies of u. There were more active and peaceful periods,” says the artist of her work.

“I have the aim of finding the use of puzurs not only indoors. I want to find a way to apply it in the outdoors,” says Ārija Bērze.

Until August 25, the puzurs can be viewed for free on the great stage of the cultural center Siguldas Devons.
