LTV releases Latvian culture videos for Ukrainians

Latvian Television (LTV) has created thirty video stories about the Latvian Cultural Canon to introduce Ukrainians living in Latvia to Latvia's diverse values, covering various cultural sectors.

Unique video stories published on the public media portal meet personalities, show places and events that are beloved and important to the people of Latvia, and appreciated in the wide world. Stories in Ukrainian are a devotion to Ukrainians living in Latvia to allow families, schools, and communities to know and see Latvia and its values.

“The Latvian Cultural Canon is the core and essence of our cultural values, which inspires and helps us to understand culture well, its continuation and contemporary expressions, so it is wonderful that we can introduce it to the Ukrainians living with us. The short form of video stories is ideal for the rapid circulation of modern social networks,“ says Ieva Rozentāle, head of culture editorial at LTV.

Funding for the Public Electronic Mass Media Council has been granted by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers upon the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Latvian Television.
