After a weak first half and a comeback in the second half of the game, Latvia beat Estonia Thursday night 75-64, thus advancing to the last sixteen of Eurobasket 2015.
Jānis Strēlnieks scored 21 points and Jānis Timma of Zenit St. Petersburg added 15 points to lead Latvia.
The Latvian national team finished the stage with a 3-2 record, scoring wins against Belgium, Estonia, and Czech Republic and suffering defeats at the deft hands of Lithuania and Ukraine.
The next game is scheduled for Saturday, when Latvia will face Slovenia of Eurobasket.
