Latvian Architecture Award seeks submissions

Take note – story published 3 years ago

The Latvian Architects Union (LAS) calls for submissions for the 'Latvian Architecture Award 2020' (LAGB)  by September 4 2020, representatives of the Latvian Architects Union said on July 13.

Architects, contractors and builders, municipalities and public bodies are invited to submit applications.

LAGB registers both works carried out in Latvia (regardless of the nationality of the authors) and those elsewhere in the world, if the country of origin of their authors is Latvia. These may be both objects and processes or works which the applicant considers to be an event in the Latvian architecture, such as books or other publications, Internet resources, TV or radio broadcasts, studies, exhibitions, educational or public events, artwork, etc.

The Latvian Architecture Award is a prestigious award that not only accentuates outstanding achievements in Latvian architecture and cares about the development of the industry, but also promotes public awareness of architecture. This year, the award will take place for the twenty-fourth time, and it has been recognized as a nationally important event, but the prize itself is the highest appreciation in Latvian architecture.

The procedures for submitting and evaluating works are shown on the LAS home page.
