Remember that Sunday, May 8, is Mother's Day – take your mother out or pay her a visit. In any case, here are some tips for a sunny weekend.

Ukrainian artists' exhibition

On May 6, 17:00, Jūrmala Culture Center (Jomas Street 35) unveils an exhibition of two Ukrainian artists Victoria Rikhtik and Liudmyla Natsvlishvili – 'Lost dreams'. Victoria Rikhtik, a leading fashion photographer, is currently in Sweden, whereas Liudmyla Nastvlishvili, an artist painter, has come to Rīga to escape the war.

The exhibition will be open until June 14. Entry is free. Take a stroll at the seaside afterward.

Āgenskalns market reopening

The historic Āgenskalns market opens its doors again May 7 after extensive renovation works lasting several years. The outside of the building has been restored close to the original, but the functionality inside is now more varied than just shopping for produce. On May 7 and 8, various activities are also planned.

Sakura
