Three for the Weekend: RIBOCA

Take note – story published 6 years ago

This weekend we suggest visiting the ongoing 1st Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (RIBOCA).

It is open until October 28 and takes place across eight venues across Rīga and in Jūrmala. They are all located conveniently within walking distance from one another.

In Jūrmala, a free RIBOCA exhibition is located at the wave-shaped Dubulti railway station.

Locations serving as RIBOCA venues in Rīga include Zuzeum, the Former Faculty of Biology, and the square of Sporta street 2. The biennial has more than 100 artists participating, and a third of them are from the Baltic countries.

On the weekend, a workshop for families titled 'Deconstruct and Create' & led by artist Ilze Egle takes place at the former Faculty of Biology.
