Nelly at Coyote Fly
Chiefly known for the band-aid on his left cheek (and also a hit song, 'Dilemma', and a bunch of Billboard hits), the rapper Nelly is finally going to show all the Latvian folk how to party.
The event takes place at the Coyote Fly bar on Friday night.
Let's get fishy at the Central Market
On October 28 at 11 a.m. the Nēģu st. (Lamprey street) square will welcome the Riga Fish festival. It's a great way to get acquainted what Latvia has to offer in way of frutti di mare. There'll also be a country music concert to get everyone's spirits up, and of course a huge pot of fish soup.
Villainous beats at Aristīds
Meanwhile on October 28 the Aristīds party place will host a DJ set by the Parisian duo Il Est Vilaine. Organizers say it'll be a "set full of techno beats, ravy vibes and krautrock vapors".
They'll be joined by a number of local star DJs in an event celebrating French culture with Latvia's Institut Francais turning 20 this year.
