The campaigns will run until September 15 in a total of 41 destinations across Latvia.
This weekend's hosts will offer not only hearty dishes typical of Latgale and recipes inherited from generations, but also a contemporary menu. Visitors will not only be able to indulge their taste buds, but also take part in masterclasses, enjoy music and art, LIAA informed.
In total, more than 400 home cafés will welcome visitors this year. Inese Šīrava, Director of the LIAA Tourism Department, added that the campaign makes a significant contribution to the development of local tourism, introduces people to rural life, supports local entrepreneurs, and strengthens the local community.
Home Café Days are held once a year, for one or two days, in each destination. For more information on Home Café Days, visit www.majaskafejnicas.lv or the Home Café Days Facebook page.
