The Annual Latvian Literature Award will celebrate winners in seven categories – best poetry work, best prose work, best translation of foreign literature prose in Latvian, best translation of foreign literature poetry in Latvian, best work of Latvian author's original literature for children, the brightest debut in literature and the best work in literary science.
This year, for the first time, translations of prose and poetry are judged separately, and after a long break, literary science is considered.
