Latvia's national classical music station, Latvian Radio 3 Klasika, has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special gala concert at the Great Guild in Rīga, which is available to enjoy online.

In the company of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Andris Poga, the concert program includes a wide range of pieces from Viennese classics to non-academic music and a celebration of Beethoven's 250th birthday.

Performers include violinist Elīna Bukša and pianist Daumants Liepiņš, who tackles Franz Liszt's virtuoso First Piano Concerto.

With legendary composer and jazz performer Raimonds Pauls celebrating his 85th birthday this year, the 'Maestro' himself was in attendance and performing some of his much-loved classics, including a distanced duet with opera star Elīna Garanča.

The concert also features the Latvian premiere of "Orpheus' Comet" by the Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova, which is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Euroradio. The evening ended with the solemn final movement of Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony.
