Rastorgujevs gets silver for Latvia in biathlon world championship

The 2024 Biathlon World Championship concluded on February 18 with Andrejs Rastorgujevs bringing home silver for Latvia. This is the highest achievement in Latvia's biathlon history.

Rastorgujevs was second to Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bø. The bronze was taken by French Quentin Fillon Maillet.

 

The winner completed the race in 34 minutes and 50.2 seconds. Rastorgujevs was 15.1 seconds behind. 

Before now, Rastorgujevs' highest achievement in mass start was last year when he finished fifth.
