In the second run Tomass had a better start time (4.88 seconds), but was slower than in his first run (53.61 seconds). He was 0.60 seconds behind the leader and moved into sixth place.

Martins had a much better start time (4.73 seconds), but was also slower than in his first run (53.30 seconds), but it was enough to guarantee him a medal in the first run. His total run time was 0.12 seconds behind the winner, which moved him into second place.

The second World Cup stage will also take place in Lake Placid next week, before the athletes return to Europe. The first European stage will be in Winterberg in the first week of January.
