She lifted a total of 220 kilograms, ahead of Sweden's Angelica Roos, who finished with 191 kg.
This was the first golden medal for the young Latvian in the European Championships, and her first gold.

19-year-old Rebeka Koha triumphed at the European Weightlifting Championships and placed well-ahead of the second place holder, reported LSM's Latvian-language service.
