The central topic of the seminar will be blockchain technologies, the development of cryptocurrencies and various aspects of their security.
"One of the strategic directions of the FKTK is FinTech support, as well as promoting innovation in the financial system. In cooperation with other public institutions the intention of the FKTK is to create a friendly environment for FinTech, which would promote innovative financial services in Latvia and attract new companies to provide these services," said the regulator.
Experienced foreign Financial Technology (FinTech) experts will share their experience and knowledge in the online seminar, which will cover the following topics: security and development of blockchain technologies, cyber risk management, various aspects of cryptocurrencies, with a more specific focus on both Bitcoin and Libra.
The aim of the seminar is to accelerate the development of FinTech and to make the European Union (EU) a leader in financial technologies. The two-day program of the event is available on the seminar website and is being run by Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania as a partner of the H2020 FinTech project.
