Diesel prices in May 2022 compared to May 2021 increased on average by 57.6%, petrol – by 44.9%, while the price of autogas has increased by 29.1%.
Compared to April, fuel price rose by an average of 4.8%. Diesel prices rose by 4.2%, petrol by 6.2% autogas by 1.3%.
The information provided by the petrol stations shows that on May 31 this year the price of petrol for brand 95 at the Neste automatic fueling stations was EUR 1.987 per liter, while in May 2021 it was EUR 1.297 per liter. The price of diesel was EUR 1.877 per liter at the end of May this year, while at the end of May 2021 – EUR 1.197 per liter.
At the end of May, the price of brand 95 petrol at the “Circle K” fuel stations was EUR 1.984 per liter (EUR 1.304 per liter on May 31, 2021), the price of diesel was EUR 1.884 per liter (a year earlier – EUR 1.204 per liter), while the autogas cost EUR 0.815 per liter (a year earlier – EUR 0.645 per liter.).
According to data from the State Revenue Service, in the first quarter of 2022 Neste Latvija was the largest fuel retailer in Latvia, while Circle K Latvia was the second-largest fuel retailer.
