General budget expenditure for 2021 amounts to EUR 7.43 billion

Expenditure on the basis of the Latvian State general budget for 2021 is planned at €7.43 billion, according to the information report of the Ministry of Finance (FM) on Tuesday, August 18.

According to the FM, the government's general budget expenditure is expected to be €7.66 billion for 2022.

Compared to this year's framework, expenditure increases by €5.9 million for 2021 and €59 million for 2022.

For 2023, expenditure is set at €7.41 billion, reduced by €191.6 million compared to the frame for 2022.

The dedicated budget base expenditure for 2021 is estimated at €3.16 billion, €3.23 billion for 2022 and €3.39 billion for 2023. Compared to the previous year, expenditure increases by €3 million for 2021, and reduces by €102.7 million for 2022. For 2023, expenditure increases by €53.4 million compared to the framework for 2022.
