Production of Virudes, a disinfectant gel manufactured as per World Health Organization guidelines, is to start within the next few days.
It will first be available in four-liter packaging. "In neighboring countries such as Lithuania and Estonia alcohol manufacturers are likewise ensuring disinfectant availability," said Latvijas Balzams boss Intars Geidāns.
The disinfectant will be available across retail stores, and the company is to provide for the demand in hospitals and other institutions.
