In early May, it was decided that restaurant outdoor terraces can resume work, but working hours were limited from 6:00 to 21:00.
On Thursday, May 27, independent MPs Jūlija Stepaņenko, Ļubova Švecova and Karina Sprūde submitted the proposal to extend the provision of catering services at the outdoor until midnight. MPs of the New Conservative Party also supported the proposal, while several other members of some coalition parties voted against the changes.
Changes to the law will enter into force on the day following their announcement.
