The planes were parked on the tarmac while a specially-commissioned song was performed, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way.
"We hope that this event will leave you with unforgettable memories and emotions,"' said airBaltic chairman Martin Gauss, shortly before the doors of a vast hangar were thrown open and the planes taxied into view in less than ideal weather conditions then parked in a line.
After speeches, the song was given its premiere, performed by musicians from the three Baltic states.
