Latvia's Disease Prevention and Control Center seeks response from passengers on the bus that ran March 22 from 11 a.m. to 15.25 p.m. on the route Valka-Seda-Valmiera-Rīga.

The center said a passenger infected with the Covid-19 virus was on the bus, numbered 760020.

Passengers who were on the bus are asked to remain in self-isolation for 14 days and contact the Disease Prevention and Control Center at 67271738.

In other news, LTV reported that Rīga city will remove most discounts for passengers using municipal transportation. Only discounts for disabled people and social workers will remain in effect.

This measure is to be taken to reduce passenger crowding in public transport, combating the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Similar measures have been taken in Daugavpils, Latvia's second city.
