Latvian-Austrian consortium to build Rail Baltica airport infrastructure

“Rail Baltica” station and adjacent infrastructure at Rīga International Airport will be built by the consortium “B.S.L. Infra”, said the project implementer in Latvia Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas December 21.

The consortium consists of the Austrian company Swietelsky AG and the Latvian construction companies “Binders” and “LNK Industries”. The consortium's financial offer is €236 million.

Kaspars Vingris, chairman of the board of Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas, said the works are scheduled to run for a period of five years. Vingris noted that the Austrian company Swietelsky AG has nearly 100 years of experience in the construction of railway infrastructure.

Eight candidates participated in the contest.
