Rīga airport passenger numbers up on year, down on month

That is 5.4 times more than in November 2020 and 22.6% less than in the previous month

.Compared in November 2019 before the pandemic, when there were 550.5 thousand passengers, the drop comprises 50.7 %.

The total number of flights in November was 4 428, which is 2.3 times more than a year ago.

In eleven months of this year, the number of passengers at the airport comprised 2.05 million passengers, which is 96.7 thousand or 4.9 % more than in the corresponding period of 2020 and 5.17 million or 71.6 % less than in eleven months of 2019.

In November 2021 the total volume of cargo and mail loaded and unloaded¹ comprised 3.3 thousand tonnes, which is 32.1 % more than in October and 40.2 % more than in November 2020.

In November 2021, 2.1 thousand tonnes of cargo and mail were unloaded, which is 49.1 % more than in November 2020, and 1.2 thousand tonnes of cargo and mail were loaded, which is 27.6 % more.
