Take note – story published 1 year ago

In connection with the construction of the Rail Baltica project, significant changes are expected on Gogoļa Street near the central station as of Thursday, August 4, to the organization of traffic and pedestrian flows, the builder BeReRix told LETA August 1.

Pedestrian traffic and vehicle traffic will only be organized on the west side of Gogoļa Street, or on the Central Market side. The tunnel connecting the station and the market will be closed.

There will also be a closed underground tunnel connecting the station and the market during this period. The location of the public transport stop “Central Market” (towards the center) will also be changed. The stop will be closer to the Ministry of Transport building in the middle of Gogoļa Street, on a specially designed island.

Construction of Gogoļa street transmission is expected to conclude in December 2023. In order to ensure the safe conduct of the construction process, traffic will be switched several times from one side of the transmission tunnel to the other.
