"It's crucially important that we all have unity, not only around political support for Ukraine but also around actual, practical deliverables. There are a number of issues which are being blocked in the Council so we expect those members to relent and provide that necessary military aid to Ukraine. That's why we are here," she said in comments to reporters.
Photographs showed Braže quickly engaged in discussion with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó. Hungary has been one of the countries most reluctant to back aid for Ukraine and Prime Minister Viktor Orban continues to enjoy cordial relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite the latter's numerous war crimes.
The situation in the Middle East was also due to be discussed along with the situation in Georgia and the "pro-European choice of the Georgian people" which she said was currently "challenged".
