Baltic Prime Ministers meet in Vilnius

The Baltic Prime Ministers are meeting in Vilnius on Wednesday, December 8, according to the Cabinet's information.

The Latvian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš will meet the Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonytė and the Estonian Prime Minister Estonia Kaja Kallas.

The PMs will discuss security issues in the region, including the situation on the EU's external border with Belarus and the concentration of Russian military forces in the vicinity of Ukraine, the development of infrastructure projects, as well as the development of energy policy, including the situation of high energy prices.

The Heads of government of the Baltic States plan to discuss the green transition, the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and economic recovery from it.
