Estonian Foreign Minister makes debut visit to Latvia

On 17 February 2021, the Latvian Foreign Minister, Edgars Rinkēvičs, meets with the new Estonian Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, who is making her first working visit to Latvia from its northern neighbor since taking up the post on 26 January.

"The Ministers will be discussing bilateral relations, questions of regional cooperation, and the situation in Belarus and Russia," the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. 

During her working visit, Liimets will also be meeting with the President Egils Levits, and the Speaker of the Latvian Parliament (Saeima), Ināra Mūrniece.

An online press conference with Rinkēvičs and Liimets will take place in the afternoon.
